Growing instructions for Purple Haze

  1. Choose the growing location
Decide whether you want to grow Purple Haze indoors or outdoors. Indoors you have full control over light, temperature and humidity, while outdoors warm, sunny climates with moderate humidity are ideal.
  2. Prepare the soil
Use nutrient-rich, well-aerated soil with a pH value between 6.0 and 7.0. For optimum results, you can add organic additives such as vermicompost or guano to the soil.
  3. Sow the seeds or plant the seedlings
Germinate the seeds by pre-soaking them in damp kitchen paper or water. As soon as the roots are visible, plant them about 1-2 cm deep in the prepared soil.
  4. Light conditions
Purple Haze needs plenty of light to grow healthily and produce a high yield. LED or HPS lamps are particularly suitable indoors, as they support the necessary light cycles. A cycle of 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness is recommended during the growth phase, while a change to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness is necessary during the flowering phase. When growing outdoors, you should choose a location that receives at least 8 hours of direct sunlight per day.
  5. Monitor temperature and humidity
Keep the temperature between 20-28 °C during the day and at least 18 °C at night. Humidity should be 50-60% during the growth phase and 40-50% during the flowering phase to prevent mould.
  6. Water regularly
Water the plants evenly without causing waterlogging. Wait until the top layer of soil is dry before adding more water. If possible, use filtered or pH-neutral water.
  7. Optimise nutrient supply
During the growth phase, Purple Haze needs nitrogen-rich fertilisers. In the flowering phase, reduce the nitrogen and add more phosphorus and potassium to promote flower development.
  8. Train the plants (optional)
Use low-stress training (LST) or other techniques to control growth and maximise yields. This helps to distribute light evenly to all buds.
  9. Observe the flowering time
Purple Haze has a flowering time of around 9-10 weeks. Check the trichomes with a magnifying glass - if they are milky white, harvest time is near.
  10. Harvesting and drying the flowers
Carefully cut the flowers and hang them up in a well-ventilated, dark room with a humidity of around 50%. After 7-14 days, the flowers are ready for further processing or curing.

With these instructions, you can successfully grow Purple Haze and enjoy high-quality, aromatic buds.
